My Poor Baby...Part Two

I just don't know what to do! Last night, Malachi had a temperature of 99.9 and was fussy, so we gave him some Tylenol. An hour and a half later, it was up to 101.3. We called the clinic again and they told us to go to the emergency room. That was a long drive! All I could think about was Natalie and fearing the worst for our son...a total over reaction, but you know how a crazed mommy brain goes!! :) When we got there, we found out that the dosage of Tylenol we were giving him (suggested by his doctor) probably wasn't enough and the hospital told us to be giving him way more since he is so big. (He weighed 17 lbs 5 oz at the hospital by the way...I don't know what to think anymore!) He gave him a mega dose of Tylenol and about an hour later, he was feeling pretty good, so they sent us home. We got home around 1 am and checked his temperature again...98.9...thank God!! This morning he woke up and was ON FIRE again and his temperature read 103.2 and an hour later after meds 101.3. I just don't know what to do anymore. The hospital wanted us to see our doctor again today to make sure that he doesn't have any ear or throat stuff going on that just hadn't shown up last night, so I guess we will see what he says then. So much conflicting information, it makes it hard to know what to do and makes you feel like you aren't taking care of your child properly!!! But...it could be so much worse!!! Hopefully we won't have to be messing with this for much longer!
