Happy Halloween!!--10.31.09

I was so excited to be able to make a frilly little girl's costume this year!!! Not that I don't love making costumes for Malachi, but I have been waiting to make tutu's and bows for a long time! :) This year, we dressed Malachi up like a cowboy and Sapphira like a ballerina. I had a lot of fun making the costumes!! Best of all, both outfits together cost less than $5 since I was able to use many things we already had on hand and get the other stuff I needed for very cheap! First we visited my parent's house and trick or treated Ga-Ga, Boppa, Bobo, and Lacy. After that we all went to dinner with my mom's parents ("GG and Grandpa GG"), and my mom's sister and brother-in-law ("Debbie and Uncle Rod"). We finished the night by trick-or-treating and playing at GG and Grandpa GG's house. So much fun!
Malachi's favorite part of his costume was that Mommy colored on his face. I was worried he wouldn't let me come near him with the eye liner, but he was crazy about the idea! However, he was not about to wear the cowboy hat for any period of time. We ended up leaving (errr...forgetting) it at home...he wouldn't have touched it anyways.
Don't you just want to eat her up!?! I was lucky to get these few shots of her without the tulle in her mouth. Every time I tried it on her and before we took her outside to take this pictures, she had several strips in her mouth and literally dripping with drool...whatever works, right? :)
I just love the expressions on their faces (especially Sapphira's)...they were having so much fun!
