We are mobile!

This morning at Mom-to-Mom, I was sitting on the floor with Malachi while he played with his toys and he rolled from his tummy to his back to his right side...he doesn't do this very often at all, usually goes to his left...and then rolled up to his tummy on the right side, too. This he has never done before--normally his elbow gets in the way. I was so excited I wanted to interrupt the speaker and tell everyone what he had just done, but I restrained myself and just kept watching him. Then he did it again and again...rolling in a line across the floor. This is brand new territory. For the last couple of weeks he has been rolling from his back to his tummy on his left side and will then go back to his tummy the same way he came. He has been getting pretty good at moving around when he does this, but I don't think that it is intentional. He is getting pretty good at pushing himself forward towards his toys...Grandma has been letting him pick out the toys he wants to play with...he'll inch forward to grab the ones he wants. It is so much fun watching him grow and discover new things...it makes each day fresh and exciting when you see it through a child's eyes.
