Ode to Summer

When I heard on the news this morning that today was the first day of fall, I felt a little sad. So many fun things to miss.

Gone are the days to playing in the water...
walking barefoot outside...
picking flowers...
playing at the park without a coat.

But now I am looking forward to the crisp smell in the air when fall finally settles in, playing in piles of fallen leaves, picking out pumpkins that are just the right size, and playing the rain and mud puddles. I think that this fall has a lot of fun in store for us...can't wait!!
