New Dress for Sister

***6.8.10 updated the pictures after I played with them in photoshop...sooooo much better! :)***

I first saw this dress on Prudent Baby when they posted it a couple weeks ago, and promptly put it on my to-do list. I finally got the chance to do it last night. It is my first experience with such rounded seams, so those are a little rough, but over all this dress was fairly easy to put together. It took me nearly 4 hours to complete, but that was due to my machine not working properly causing me to have to re-sew each seam at least once (don't get me started on that neckline...3 times each side just assembling them, and then another 3 or 4 times once I attached them to the dress...grrrrrr. That machine will be the death of me I tell you!). Had my machine not been acting so bi-polar I don't think it would have taken me longer than 2 hours. The pattern was for a shirt, but I took their suggestion of extending the bottom hem to turn it into a dress. I also printed the pattern at 105% because I was a little worried about the neckline being too small. Turns out 100% probably would have been fine, but this way it will last her longer! I also used their flower hair clip tutorial to make a matching barrette! Too cute!

Can't forget about big brother! He came outside to help me take pictures and had to bring his John Deere tractor. He and his trusty friend have been pretty inseparable since his birthday. Such a boy!
