8.23.11--Zoo fun!

Samuel had the day off and I was able to get off work early, so we decided to head up to the zoo since we didn't know when we would have the opportunity again on such a nice day.  ***Warning*** this is a photo laden post (I weeded some out, too!), but if you stick with it, there'll be a giggle for you at the end. :)

I love how Sapphira is holding Samuel so close.  Love these little moments.

The fish are always a hit with my kids. 

Sapphira was quite interested in these turtles.

Malachi was so excited to see a real beaver up close since we had been watching an episode of Wild Kratts about beavers.  He was looking for their dam.

Don't ask...I have no idea what I was doing.  Samuel thought it was pretty funny though!

Every time we come, the polar bear is in the far corner of his enclosure so we can only see his paw or something.  This time he came up to the glass and stood for a minute.  Malachi was trying to pet him through the glass.

This guy was quite tolerant of all the people staring at him.

In the African Savannah area, there were these phones that played animal noises for the kids if you pressed buttons.  Sapphira was running all around trying to find them before Malachi.  I think you can tell she loved these "hellos". :)

Kind of washed out, but pretty good of the three of us.

But most of them turned out like this. :)

Congratulations...you made it!  I put together this little gif since putting just one of these pictures didn't do his little "waiting-in-line-for-the-tractor-jig" justice.  I laugh every time I see this!
