Little Reminders...

Yesterday after dinner, Samuel and I were making up a grocery list before I headed off for Bunco night (so much fun, by the way!!). We didn't get far before I had to go, but the following three things made it onto the list: barbeque sauce (Malachi's latest obsession!), hot dogs (one of the only things Malachi will eat lately), and milk. While the milk could wait, we were completely out of the hot dogs and sauce and needed them for Malachi's lunch the next day and we were trying to figure out who would go to the store when so that he could have them. At Bunco, I ended up winning the prize for the most Buncos...a really cool collapsible lawn chair and cute water bottle...and the traveling prize which is always the little things that everyone brings to go along with the theme for the evening. This month's theme was items that would be taken to a picnic or BBQ. I was so excited for the lawn chair and didn't really look much in the bag for the traveling prize when I put it in the car. Once I got home, Samuel and I started going through the bag to see what everyone had brought. Take a guess at what was in there...barbeque sauce and hot dogs among other things. We looked at each other and laughed. It's the little reminders that we get every so often that the Lord is looking out for us. No one would have to make an inconvenient run to the grocery store to get Malachi's lunch. Aren't you glad we serve a God who cares about the little things like hot dogs and barbeque sauce...I know that I am! :)

LOVE THIS!!! I think that these are some of my favorite moments sometimes, when our loving Lord is seen in things that are little but mean so much to me. I know He is always there, but reminders are so nice :) Thanks for sharing!
