4.3.11--Family time!

After running a couple errands on Sunday afternoon, we decided to pick up a pizza on the way home. Malachi asked if we could have a pizza picnic in the living room...why not? He picked his Toy Story blanket to spread out on the ground and insisted we all wear sunglasses while we ate, because "that's what you do at picnics". They both ate really good supper...maybe we'll have to do this more often! :)

CC and Granddad CC gave Malachi some new sidewalk chalk at Sapphira's birthday party, so since it was still nice out, he asked to go outside and use them.

Malachi's cousins must have taught him about hop-scotch, since he asked me to draw a "hot-spotch" on the sidewalk. He didn't know how to do it, so I had to wrack my brain to remember the rules. Goodness, it's been a long time since grade school! :)

Once our neighbor friend came out to play and Malachi lost interest in drawing, Sapphira became a chalk hoarder, running around picking them all up and clutching them to her chest while watching Bubba out of the corner of her eye. She carried them around for several minutes before she found the perfect spot to put them all down.

I am sooooo looking forward to warmer spring and summer days. I've had enough of this rain! :)
