My Memories Suite Review and Giveaway!

You'll want to read all the way through this post...there's a surprise waiting at the end! :)

Recently, My Memories asked me to try out their digital scrapbooking software and offer a review for my readers.  I downloaded the program and got to work!  Initially, I was impressed by the simplicity of the program...the pre-formed pages are made in a drag and drop format, allowing you to put together a page in a matter of minutes.  I bet you could knock out an entire album in less than an hour.

When I downloaded my copy of the scrapbook software, I also signed up to get their weekly emails.  This last week, the email included a link to a video tutorial which I watched, making the learning process sooo much easier!  I also learned in this email that if you "like" their facebook page, you gain access to an exclusive fan freebie each Friday.  This last week was a set of Christmas cards.  I'm a little bummed that I was actually on the ball this year and already have all my cards printed because don't you think this one is adorable?!
If you visit their website, they have a wide selection of kits to download and use in conjunction with the software.  I was also impressed by their Free Kits section which includes some cute paper packs and premade pages that are ready to plop your pictures in!  Gotta love beautiful and easy pages!
Once you get a bit more familiar with the program, putting together your own pages from scratch is super easy and fun.  I was able to use some of the adorable paper and embellishments that came with the program as well as some I had downloaded to create pages like this...

This program also allows you to incorporate video into your pages...how adorable is that?  I haven't been super diligent in taking videos of my kids since there isn't as much you can do with them as photographs, but I think this might change my mind!

The only downside to this program for me is that the photo editing portion of the software isn't super detailed.  I'm accustomed to using Photoshop Elements and filters to edit my photos, so the simplified editing capabilities don't meet my needs.  I'm sure for those who aren't interested in spending a lot of time messing with your pictures, you would find the black and white, sepia, sharpen, brighten, darken and flipping options (among others) inclusive enough to meet your needs.

I have to say that I am excited to continue to use and play around the my copy of My Memories Suite and discovering what other fun things I can make!

Now for the surprise!  One lucky reader will win a copy of My Memories digital scrapbooking suite!!  Yay for giveaways, right?!

Awesome giveaway, Amy! :) Count me in! I looked around their kits and it was so hard to choose. Sweet Pete in the baby section caught my eye. I also liked their fb page and followed their blog. Thanks for this cool opportunity! :)

This is cool, Amy! I've looked at getting this before but wasn't sure it would be easy and still usable. Now I know someone who's used it and likes it. Soooo many kits. ... I'm in the Christmas mood so I liked the winter frosty kit and the winter frosty quick pages kits. I'm just not sure how to become a follower of the page... Do you do the email thing? I did do the Fb stuff. It would be great fun to win. What a fun thing to giveaway! Thanks!
