Won't you please help?

For the second year, I am raising money for the March of Dimes. On April 25th, 2009, I will be walking with the team "Heaven's Hope" in order to raise money to:
- support all-important research offering preventions and solutions for babies born too soon or with birth defects
- educate women on things they can do to increase their chances of having a healthy baby
- provide comfort and information to families with a newborn in intensive care
- push for newborn screening and health insurance for all pregnant women and children

I feel this is an important cause because as many of you know, my daughter Natalie was born in March 2006 with a fatal birth defect. After nearly 40 precious hours together, she met Jesus. Please help me support the March of Dimes so that their research can help eliminate this kind of tragedy forever.

March for Babies

Thank you to all of you who helped me raise $570 for the March of Dimes. The walk was yesterday and it was so much fun. The weather couldn't have been better. Malachi really enjoyed riding in his stroller watching all the little kids and doggies run by...he even got a bit of a sunburn on his cheeks!! He got his first balloon...he thought that was great! I tied it to his stroller and he grabbed the string and just sat and pulled on it to make the balloon go up and down and just laughed and cackled at it! I had fun walking with my friends and getting to know others better. It was nice to be able to do this in Natalie's memory and to know that I was making a difference for other babies and their families. Our team leader Bree took a picture of us and I will post it as soon as I get it!! Thank you again for all your help!! Couldn't have done it without you!!

March for Babies

This year, I have decided to join my friend Bree and walk on her team Heaven's Hope for the March for Babies that the March of Dimes is holding on April 26, 2008 at Bush Park. I would love to be able to raise at least $500 to help give babies a healthy start. This organization funds research, services, education and advocacy for premature birth, birth defects, and infant mortality. Wouldn't it be incredible to be able to put an end to all of this?!?!
