8 months

8 months old already?!? I know that I say this every month, but time really does pass more quickly when you have children at home!! Hmmm, what's new this month? Still just 2 teeth, rolling EVERYWHERE (and fast!!), LOVES to eat (becoming a big chow hound), can sit up on his own for quite a while so he can play with toys, and thinks standing is the coolest thing in the whole world. He can stand unsupported for several seconds, but if he is leaning on something, will stand for several minutes at a time. Not even thinking about crawling yet, but he doesn't really need to since he can roll places so well. People (mostly older women at church) keep trying to tell me that I "need to get him crawling...it's not good for his motor skills to be waiting this long!" How on earth am I supposed to get an 8 month old to crawl when he falls on his face every time I put him on his knees. When we crawl around on the floor like so many have suggested that I do since "that will make him learn to do it", he just looks at us like we are idiots and rolls away to find something to play with or eat. This is one time that I wish people wouldn't give their unsolicited advise no matter how well meaning it is! Love ya, but I don't need to feel any worse than I already do or worry any more than I already am!! Hope I am not the only one who gets these lovely gifts on a regular basis!! :) But putting that aside, this has been a pretty fun month, lots of new things to experience, learn, and of course to taste!!

Here's the official 8 month Buddy picture: Here's another cute picture from today's "photo shoot". I would venture to say that this might be the happiest boy in the whole world!!

Talking with Daddy and playing with the remote...what two things could be better?!?

He is SOOOO cute and I don't think I am going to ever get over how lucky he is to have such AWESOME hair! About the "milestone" issue, don't even listen to "them"! He is doing great and will be running circles around you (or away from you) before you know it and then you will wonder what you were thinking :) He is great and growing up TOO fast!!!!
